TITLE

DISCUSSION

The City Attorney requests the City Council to authorize the City Manager to execute a Second Amendment to Agreement No. 35254 with the law firm of Rutan & Tucker, LLP, for legal services to defend the City of Long Beach in an employment lawsuit entitled Alberto Vargas and Pablo Orduno vs City of Long Beach, Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BC675610. The amendment would authorize an additional $150,000.00 for litigation expenses incurred through trial, for a total of $600,000.00.
