DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to enter into contracts with 13 construction management and inspection consultants selected for the delivery of construction management and inspection services on an as-needed basis. The City has typically contracted for as-needed construction management and inspection services when the Public Works Department does not have sufficient specialized expertise to perform work with existing staff. The requested contracts are based on current and anticipated projects within the Public Works, Development Services, Airport, Long Beach Gas and Oil, and Parks, Recreation and Marine Departments.
