TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit two Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $78,662.50, with future medical care for cervical spine, lumbar spine, hips and right shoulder in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Greg Eldridge.

DISCUSSION

Greg Eldridge has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on December 18, 2018, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of two Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Greg Eldridge, based upon 1) a 50 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary, and 2) a zero percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
