TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file travel report on National
League of Cities 2007 Annual Congressional City Conference on
March 10 - 14, 2007 in Washington, DC.
DISCUSSION
I would like to take this opportunity to file a travel report as required by AB 1234 for activities consistent with the definition of "official City Business" under the City Auditor's Travel and Reimbursement Policy for Non-AR Departments:
· Meetings with government and business leaders for the purpose of carrying out official City business;
· Non-partisan conferences, training and education trips, including visiting other governments to discuss and observe best practices;
· Travel in furtherance of an adopted policy, ordinance or City resolution.
My attendance at the following National League of Cities (NLC) meeting was authorized in the capacity of my membership on the NLC's Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Advocacy Committee.

This conference provided me with the opportunity to represent the City in a working dialogue that focused on collaboration and information sharing of key issues such as Energy and Environment policy.
