TITLE

DISCUSSION
The jackrabbit artwork on the utility box located on Atlantic Avenue and 17th Street, across the street from Poly High School, reflects the mascot of the school and is of great significance and importance to the surrounding neighborhood. For years residents have requested the jackrabbit utility box to be restored from vandalism. Due to recent redistricting, the utility box is now in the Sixth District and Councilwoman Saro is partnering with Peer Education Community Center (PECC) to restore the artwork on the utility box. PECC is a working 501(c)3 community-based nonprofit focused on peer-to-peer education and support groups, systemic navigation, industry and community connections, and alternative wellness clinics & harm-reduction spaces advocating for community-led programs, social justice, and systemic and social change.

The Long Beach Branch NAACP 2022 Gala Celebration will be held on September 24, 2022 from 10 AM - 1 PM at The Grand (4101 E Willow St.). The Gala is Long Beach Branch NAACP’s major annual fundraiser. Long Beach Branch NAACP has provided services for the Long Beach community for over 82 years. These services are provided to low income, disadvantaged, and underserved people of Long Beach.
