Recommendation to authorize City Manager to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with The Salvation Army to advance mutual efforts to bring a Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center to the City of Long Beach to be located at Chittick Field. (District 6)

In August 2005, The Salvation Army approached City staff with a proposal to locate a Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (Center) within the City.
