The rehabilitation work consists of replacing damaged curbs and gutters, trimming and root pruning trees, cold milling, resurfacing the pavement and installing new pavement markings, loop detectors and a traffic signal interconnect system. City Council adoption of the plans and specifications and award of contract to the lowest responsible bidder are being recommended concurrently to expedite the project

In accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, Categorical Exemption Number CEP-124-05 has been issued for this project. Public Works will coordinate outreach to business owners impacted by this project with Robert Swayze, Economic Bureau Manager for the Community Development Department.
