TITLE

Recommendation to refer to Charter Amendment Committee to bring Eligibility for Office, Sections 201 and 2204 of the City Charter into compliance.

DISCUSSION

I have been advised by the City Attorney that Sections 201 and 2204 of the City Charter regarding candidate eligibility for office are not enforceable.  Therefore, I request that this matter be referred to the Charter Amendment Committee to bring these sections into compliance.

Approve recommendation.
