TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file travel report on National League of Cities Annual Conference meeting in Washington, D.C., June 25 - 28, 2008.
DISCUSSION
I would like to take this opportunity to file a travel report as required by AB 1234 for activities consistent with the definition of "official City Business" under the City Auditor's Travel and Reimbursement Policy for Non-AR Departments:
· Meetings with government and business leaders for the purpose of carrying out official City business;
· Non-partisan conferences, training and education trips, including visiting other governments to discuss and observe best practices;
· Travel in furtherance of an adopted policy, ordinance or City resolution.
My attendance at the following National League of Cities Annual Conference was authorized in the capacity of the City's membership in the National league of Cities.

This meeting provided me with the opportunity to represent the City in a working dialogue that focused on policy issues.
