DISCUSSION
On Saturday, September 19th, the Scottish Rite Event Center in our North Pine Neighborhood hosted a drive-in movie night as part of Long Beach Architecture Week (LBAW). LBAW is a series of tours, events and educational opportunities that celebrate architecture, promote preservation, sustainability, and development in our City while giving participants the opportunity to engage with and activate our different historic neighborhoods. Due to COVID-19, LBAW 2020 has shifted to a variety of events that continue these goals within strong health and safety guidelines to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

It also provided some of our residents with the opportunity to enjoy a community event without risking the spread of COVID-19 during a summer which has seen the postponement or cancellation of most similar opportunities.

This item was reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on September 23, 2020.
