TITLE

DISCUSSION
On June 19, 2007, City Council action granted approval (see attached) to purchase aircraft liability insurance for police helicopters. Inadvertently, the recommended action did not include an additional amount of $5,681 for terrorism coverage on the helicopters.
 
This matter was reviewed by Deputy City Attorney Lori Conway and Performance Management Bureau Manager David Wodynski on July 3,2007.
 
TIMING CONSIDERATIONS
City Council action is requested on July 10, 2007 to ensure appropriate coverage is in place for this year's policy.
 
FISCAL IMPACT
The total cost of the renewal premium is $143,954 for the period of June 30,2007 through June 30, 2008. Sufficient funding has been budgeted in the Insurance Fund (IS 390) and in the Department of Human Resources (HR) budget for insurance renewals.
 
SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.
