DISCUSSION

On July 26-28, 2006, I attended the League of California Cities 2006 Mayors and

Council Members Academy Executive Forum in Monterey, California.

The conference provides an opportunity to meet and discuss common issues

with councilmembers from throughout the state. Among the workshops I

attended were What's Hot in Sacramento, led by the League's executive director

and legislative representative, Working with City Managers and Department

Heads, the Role of Commissions and Commissioners, and Crucial Conversations

and Crucial Confrontations.
