TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Requests for Awards for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $38,080 for the claim of Jim Canales; and $9,320 for the claim of Reginald Vega, in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Jim Canales has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on September 19, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Jim Canales, based upon a 44 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Reginald Vega has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on September 19, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Reginald Vega, based upon a 17 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
