TITLE

Recommendation to restate the recommendation approved by City Council on July 11th to correct the name of the recipient receiving $1,750 of Third Council District One-time District Priority Funds from Friends of Rec Park Bandshell to Partners of Parks.

DISCUSSION

Partners of Parks is the fiscal agent for the Friends of Rec Park Bandshell. Friends of Rec Park Bandshell is hosting free concerts at the Recreation Park Bandshell with the goal of bringing back the regular use of the historic landmark Bandshell; raising funds over time through public grants and business and private donations for full renovation of the Bandshell; focusing on local talent and the involvement of our community’s youth, and creating a lasting foundation that will promote the use and maintenance of the Bandshell for years to come.

This matter was reviewed by Recovery Budget Officer Dee Okam on July 24, 2023.

 EQUITY LENS STATEMENT:

The requested action is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and have a minimal impact on meeting other City Council priorities.
