TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file Contract No. 35791, with Akido Labs, Inc., of Los Angeles, CA, to design, build, test, deploy, host, and maintain an Integrated System of Care solution for the Department of Health and Human Services, to increase the contract in the amount of $100,000, for a total contract amount of $662,142, for a term ending March 31, 2022, made pursuant to Chapters 2.69 and 2.85 of the Long Beach Municipal Code and in response to the proclaimed emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic; and
Authorize City Manager, or designee, to execute all documents necessary to amend Contract No. 35791 with Akido Labs, Inc., of Los Angeles, CA, to host, support, and maintain an Integrated System of Care solution for the Health Department, to increase the contract in an annual amount not to exceed $500,000, for a new total contract amount of $1,662,142, and extend the term of the contract through December 31, 2024, with the option to renew for two 12-month periods, at the discretion of the City Manager. DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to amend Contract No. 35791 with Akido Labs, Inc., to continue technology related customer support, which includes the hosting and maintenance of an Integrated System of Care (ISC) solution and for implementation services for the Health Department.
The ISC is a technology platform and work process that will continue to support the Department of Health and Human Services (Health Department) efforts to reduce its response times and more reliably connect individuals with supportive services within the Health Department, based on public health, social, and economic demographic information. Additionally, the ISC strengthens the Health Department’s COVID-19 response.
