TITLE

Recommendation to receive and file report on travel to Carlsbad, CA to attend Independent Cities Association Summer Seminar as the representative for the City of Long Beach.

DISCUSSION

From July 12-14, 2019, I attended the Independent Cities Association Summer Seminar as the representative for the City of Long Beach. At this meeting, I networked with elected representatives and attended workshops on pension obligation solutions, homelessness, and the 2020 census. I also attended their Board Meeting as an appointed member.

There is no fiscal impact to file this report.
