TITLE

DISCUSSION
 
Dorothy Buckles has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on December 20, 2005 approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Dorothy Buckles, based upon a 78 percent disability rating plus a life pension at the rate of $69.58 per week after the payment of permanent disability, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
 
Charles Higley has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Economic Development and Finance Committee on December 20, 2005, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of the two Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Charles Higley, based upon an 87 ½  percent disability rating with a further provision for a Life Pension at the rate of $106.30 per week to be paid after the permanent disability has been paid in full;  and a 40 percent disability rating, both with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.

Approve recommendation.
