DISCUSSION

This lawsuit arises out of an automobile accident on November 24,2000, in which

plaintiff, a passenger in a vehicle which was involved in a single-car accident on Lyons

Drive in the City of Long Beach, sustained serious injuries.

Through negotiations between counsel, a tentative settlement of $750,000.00 was

reached, subject to City Council approval.
