TITLE
Recommendation to request City Manager to work with the Parks and Recreation Commission to identify possible park locations and report back to the City Council on the feasibility of creating an additional Dog Park in the western half of the City.

DISCUSSION
The Dog Park at Recreation Park and the Dog Zone on the beach between Argonne and Quincy avenues are both very successful. They attract dog lovers from throughout the City and the region.

Many dog lovers who live in the western and northern portions of the City have requested an opportunity to have a dog park closer to their neighborhoods.

Due to the success of our existing Dog Park and Dog Zone, and because of the demand for additional open space and recreational opportunities for our residents and their dogs, I would like to request the City Manager to look into developing an additional Dog Park in the western half of the City.

SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,
