Recommendation to receive and file report on virtual attendance at the National League of Cities Summit as the Mayor's Alternate for the City of Long Beach on November 17-19, 2021.
DISCUSSION
From November 17-19, 2021, I attended the National League of Cities Summit as the Mayor's Alternate for the City of Long Beach.
At this virtual summit, I heard from municipal leaders across America on topics including housing, economic development, climate change, urban design for pedestrian and cyclist safety, and equity, among others.
This matter was reviewed by Budget Manager Grace H. Yoon on January 6, 2022
FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Council to receive and file a report on the National League of Cities Summit. The requested action has a minimal impact on hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and minimal impact on existing City Council priorities. There is no local job impact associated with the recommendation.
