TITLE
Recommendation to direct City Manager to work with Public Works and City Attorney to amend Resolution No. RES-18-0171 Section 1, to change the 4th Street parking meters hours from Hermosa Avenue to Junipero Avenue from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
DISCUSSION
On November 2018, City Council approved the operating days and hours for Parking Meter Zone 34. The days and hours approved were Monday through Sunday, excluding holidays, during the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., for a maximum of three hours and at the rate of one dollar per hour.
After further review, City Council requests to change the hours of operation from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This change will be consistent with other parking meter zones in Long Beach.
STATEMENT OF URGENCY
Due to the time sensitivity of this item, it was not reviewed by Financial Management.
FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager to work with Public Works and City Attorney to amend Resolution-18-0121 Section 1 to change the 4th Street parking meters hours. Implementing this recommendation is anticipated to result in a minimal impact to staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of duties.
