TITLE

DISCUSSION
Councilwoman Suely Saro would like to provide a contribution to the Local Hearts Foundation 11th Annual Diamond Christmas Toy Drive. The Local Hearts Foundation in partnership with skateboard company, Diamond Supply is hosting their 11th Annual Toy Drive at MacArthur Park, 1321 E. Anaheim Street on Saturday, December 18th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The goal of this event is to help provide community members with toys and resources for the Christmas holiday.

Local Hearts Foundation, led by Tito Rodriguez, is a local non-profit organization that aspires to build bridges of opportunity for everyone while motivating the youth to become more involved in civic change. This event is one of many that the foundation plans and hosts throughout the year.

STATEMENT OF URGENCY
This urgent item is being submitted through supplemental agenda to allow for timely funds processing.

FISCAL IMPACT
The recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a donation to the Local Hearts Foundation for the 11th Annual Diamond Christmas Toy Drive. The total appropriation increase of $400 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of the Six Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department.
