TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Requests for Awards for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $45,262.50 for claim of Amos Carter; and $9,296.25 for claim of Betty Jordan-Henry in compliance with the Appeals Board Orders.
DISCUSSION
Amos Carter has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on January 17, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Amos Carter, based upon a 50 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
Betty Jordan-Henry has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on January 17, 2006, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with Request for Award by the City and Betty Jordan-Henry, based upon a 15 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
