TITLE
Recommendation to grant an extension for filing report of the hearing officer on the denial of Entertainment Permit application for JAB Entertainment, Inc., dba Sugarwalls, 1811 W. Anaheim Street for an Entertainment Permit with Dancing by Performers at an existing restaurant. (District 1)
DISCUSSION
Hearing Officer in the above entitled matter requested an extension of time for filing report of findings, conclusions and decision pursuant to Long Beach Municipal Code Chapter 2.93.050.
BACKGROUND
The extension request is based on the following considerations:
1. Hearing proceedings began August 23, 2007;
2. Proceedings were continued August 30, 2007;
3. Proceedings were concluded on September 17, 2007; and
4. Closing Briefs were thereafter submitted and the hearing was closed
on October 18, 2007.
The Hearing Officer requested an additional ten (10) days to submit his findings due to review of voluminous transcripts and exhibits.
SUGGESTED ACTION
Approve recommendation.
