TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $5,000, offset by the First Council District One-time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a donation to the Willmore City Heritage Association; and
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $5,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
Willmore City Heritage Association (WCHA) is committed to the preservation, protection, and improvement of the physical environment and quality of life in the Willmore City / Drake Park neighborhood. Since 2010, Willmore City Heritage Association Board members have teamed up with residents, community volunteers and sponsoring partners to bring events and entertainment to the Willmore City community. Each year the WCHA Board fundraises and partners with various entities like the First District Council office and the Port of Long Beach. This donation is to help offset some of the costs associated with the fund raising event and further support the mission of the Willmore City Heritage Association.

Donation is for the Willmore City Annual Neighborhood Fundraiser, scheduled for August 28, 2021, and in support of Willmore City Heritage Association
FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a donation to the Willmore City Heritage Association. The appropriation increase of $5,000 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager's Department, will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of the First Council District One-Time Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. The recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond the budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
