The Magnolia Industrial Group Inc. was started in 1993 by a group of Long Beach property owners who were committed to improving the appearance and safety of their neighborhoods. Working with representatives from the City of Long Beach, they established an assessment district to raise funds necessary for a nighttime security patrol, area beautification and local communications. The MIG is the first industrial organization in the country to have created an assessment district, and as such is used as a model for other similar organizations. Number of Members: 4
