DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to enter into contracts with Burns & McDonnell Engineering Company, Inc., Corrpro Companies, Inc., EDM Services, Inc., Energy Experts International, Inc., Farwest Corrosion Control Company, SPEC Services, Inc., and TRC Pipeline Services, LLC, for as-needed on-call professional engineering and inspection services, specifically for natural gas distribution and/or cathodic protection. The requested contracts are based on current and anticipated projects throughout the city.

The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was advertised in the Long Beach Press-Telegram on October 14, 2019, and 552 firms specializing in engineering services were notified of the opportunity. Of those firms, 108 downloaded the RFQ via the City’s electronic bid system. The RFQ was made available from the Purchasing Division, located on the sixth floor of City Hall, and the Division’s website at www.longbeach.gov/purchasing .
