The City of Long Beach (City) owns three full-service marinas, including the Alamitos Bay Marina (ABM), Long Beach Shoreline Marina (Shoreline Marina), and Rainbow Harbor Marina, which are operated by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine. These marinas provide economical boat mooring in a location that has rapid access to open water, prevailing winds, close proximity to Catalina Island and practically perfect sailing conditions year-round. The ABM rehabilitation construction management team has worked closely with TranSystems Corporation (TranSystems) for the conceptual plan and specifications of the new concrete fuel dock. TranSystems has been a consultant for the City for industrial development and planning services since 2000.
