TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $150,000 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Maria Zavala.

DISCUSSION

Maria Zavala has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach. The Government and Personnel Attorney-Client Committee on October 18, 2022, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release by the City and Maria Zavala, in the amount of $150,000.
