TITLE

Recommendation to receive and file the application of Urban Growth Long Beach, LLC, dba The Lot Long Beach, for an intercounty transfer of an Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) License, at 119 Long Beach Boulevard, and determine that the application serves the public convenience and necessity.  (District 1)

DISCUSSION

It is City Council policy to review applications for ABC licenses to determine if a basis for protest against the issuance of the license exists. The attached application lists the possible basis for protest.

TIMING CONSIDERATIONS

The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control received the above application on January 31, 2020. City Council action is requested on August 2, 2022, to respond to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control by August 3, 2022 due date.

FISCAL IMPACT

There is no fiscal impact associated with this recommendation.
