TITLE

Recommendation to adopt Resolution No. WD-1455 authorizing the General Manager to sign and file all necessary documents associated with the applications for the State of California Department of Water Resources Fiscal Year 2021 Urban and Multibenefit Drought Relief Program for Long Beach Water Department Planning and Feasibility Studies.

FISCAL IMPACT

If selected, a minimum of $2,000,000 in state funds with no matching requirement will be available per the grant agreement.  Total cost for planning and feasibility studies is an estimated $2,100,000 from FY 22 to FY 24.  The Well Assessment Management Project and the Groundwater Augmentation Study are included in the FY 22 budget and/or financial projections through FY 24.  The Stormwater Harvesting Feasibility Study, the Water Conservation Plan, and the Water Loss Leak Detection Project are not included in the FY 22 budget or future financial projections and would move forward contingent upon the grant award.
