TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Compromise and Release for approval by the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $135,000 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Heather Rangel.

DISCUSSION

Heather Rangel has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of her employment with the City of Long Beach.  The Government and Personnel Attorney-Client Committee Meeting on October 19, 2021, approved the submission to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board of Compromise and Release in the amount of $135,000.00 by the City and Heather Rangel.

Approve recommendation.
