TITLE

Recommendation to declare ordinance amending  the Long Beach municipal Code by amending Chapter 2.78 relating to the sale of unclaimed property, read and adopted as read.  (Citywide)

DISCUSSION

Pursuant to your request of February 4, 2020, the attached ordinance has been prepared and is submitted for your consideration. This ordinance formalizes the current practices of the City regarding the sale of unclaimed property acquired by City departments, including the Police Department and Towing & Lien Sale Division of the Fleet Services Bureau in the Financial Management Department.

A redline of the changes made to Long Beach Municipal Code Chapter 2.78 has been included for your reference.
