TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriation in the General Fund (GF) in the Parks, Recreation, and Marine (PR) by $5,000, offset by the Sixth Council District one-time infrastructure funds transferred from the Capital Projects Fund (CP) in the Public Works Department (PW) to support summer concert park utilization.
DISCUSSION
The Sixth District Council Office has partnered with the Parks, Recreation and Marine Department to host community concerts this summer at Veterans and MacArthur Parks. This transfer of funds will support increased park space utilization and directly pay for the stage, entertainment, balloon artists, face painters, and concessions for community attendees.
Evenings of blues and jazz music will also host local non-profit organizations and other partners that will provide services to our broad community.
FISCAL IMPACT
The total appropriation increase of $5,000 in the General Fund (GF) in the Parks, Recreation and Marine Department (PR) is offset by a transfer of one-time infrastructure funds from the Capital Projects Fund (CP) in the Public Works Department (PW).
