Board of Examiners, Appeals and Condemnation

 

• Charles Whitehead - Disabled Individual - District 2 Resident

 

Charles Whitehead is a disabled individual who brings his personal experience and unique viewpoint to the board's hearings on proper construction and ADA accessibility in buildings in Long Beach. State Law mandates that disabled individuals be on the board to hear ADA matters.

 

Human Relations Commission

 

• Shane Devins - Council District 1 Seat

 

Shane Devins has been actively involved in supporting the LGBT community through his work on the LGBT Committees of the American Bar Association where he advised the bar on relations with LGBT members and reduction of prejudice within the legal industry. He previously served on the boards of Friends of the Parks and SGA Youth and Family Services when he lived in Chicago.

Pacific Gateway Workforce Development Board

 

• Melissa Infusino - LBCC Representative - Council District 1 Resident

 

Melissa Infusino has been nominated to the board by Long Beach City College due to her position as Director of Workforce Development for the college. This seat on the board is one of the federally mandated positions focusing on workforce education and is nominated by the college under the federal regulations. Prior to working for the college Melissa served as the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Fund for Public Education and has more than 15 years of government and policy experience.
