TITLE

Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit a Compromise and Release Agreement for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay $100,000 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Thomas Cochran.

DISCUSSION

Thomas Cochran has made claims for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on March 8, 2016, approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of a Compromise and Release Agreement in the amount of $100,000.00 by the City and Thomas Cochran.
