DISCUSSION
The Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Long Beach (Successor Agency) currently owns the property known as Harvey Milk Park, Assessor Parcel Numbers 7280-005-922 and 7280-005-923 (Subject Property) (Exhibit A - Site Map). The Successor Agency initially acquired the Subject Property to accommodate a high density residential development and was transferred to private ownership. Due to site constraints, the residential development could not proceed and the Subject Property was re-acquired by the Successor Agency in 2006 and re-conceived as a public park. The Subject Property has since been developed as Harvey Milk Park and acts as the northerly terminus of the pedestrian-oriented Promenade, offering a physical and visual respite from the surrounding development. Harvey Milk Park also contains a W.P.A.-era mosaic mural that is now fully accessible to the public.

In compliance with AB1484, the Successor Agency submitted its Long Range Property Management Plan (LRPMP) to the California State Department of Finance (OaF) for review in October 2013. The LRPMP categorizes the Subject Property as a Government Use parcel, as the Subject Property is currently utilized as a public park.
