TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to pay the sum of $140,000 in full settlement of lawsuit entitled Kimberly J. White, et al. v. City of Long Beach, et al., Case No. NC036085.
DISCUSSION
This lawsuit arises out of an automobile accident on February 25 , 2005 , in which a Long Beach employee, in the course and scope of his employment, collided with plaintiffs ' vehicle. Plaintiffs sustained injuries arising out of the accident. Through negotiations between counsel, a tentative settlement of$140 000.00 was reached, subject to City Council approval.
