Recommendation to receive and file report on State Legislation Committee trip to Sacramento, January 24, 2011.
DISCUSSION
On January 24, 2011, I traveled to Sacramento as Vice Chair of the State Legislation Committee. During this one-day visit, Tom Modica, Councilmembers O'Donnell, Garcia, and I met with elected officials to discuss various issues, including Long Beach's Redevelopment Agency, enterprise zones, and the need for pension reform. We discussed these conversations at the State Legislation Committee meeting held on January 31, 2011.
