TITLE

Recommendation to receive and approve the Blue Ribbon Committee on Funding Arts and Culture's request for an extension of their 90-day term until November 18, 2010.

DISCUSSION

The Blue Ribbon Committee on Funding Arts and Culture had their first meeting on July 29, 2010.  This group was scheduled to report back to the City Council within 90 dyas (October 27, 2010) on the best ways to continue funding for arts and culture and to provide a review of the current distribution of funds.

The Committee has requested an extension until November 18, 2010 to complete their task.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.
