TITLE
Recommendation to request City Council to reconsider the action of March 23, 2010, for an Alcoholic Beverage Control License application for Sababa Entertainment Incorporated, dba Sababa, and amend the conditions of approval as set forth.
DISCUSSION
On March 23, 2010, the City Council approved with conditions an application of Sababa Entertainment Incorporated, dba Sababa, for a person-to-person and premise-to-premise transfer of an Alcoholic Beverage Control License at 6527 East Pacific Coast Highway.
As approved, condition #6 would require that the ABC license not permit alcohol sales, service or consumption after 11 :00 p.m., seven days a week. Upon receipt of additional community input, the recommended condition change is as follows:
6. Sales, service and consumption of alcoholic beverages shall be permitted only
between the hours of 11 :00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight, Sunday thru Thursday, and
11 :00 a.m. thru 1 :00 a.m., Friday and Saturday.
