TITLE
Recommendation to authorize City Attorney to submit Stipulations with Request for Award for approval by the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board, and if so approved, authority to pay a lifetime benefit at the weekly rate of $958 in compliance with the Appeals Board Order for Roy Wade.
DISCUSSION
This total disability rate is subject to increases based on the Department of Labor Standards for the State of California.
Roy Wade has made a claim for injuries allegedly sustained in the course of his employment with the City of Long Beach. The Economic Development and Finance Committee on January 5, 2010 approved the submission to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board of Stipulations with the City and Roy Wade, based upon a 100 percent disability rating, with provision for lifetime medical care as may be necessary.
