TITLE
Recommendation to adopt resolution approving a list of projects citywide for repaving and resurfacing that are proposed to receive Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account funding totaling an estimated $11,500,000 in the Fiscal Year 2024 Paving Program. (Citywide)
DISCUSSION
City Council approval is requested to adopt a Resolution approving a list of projects proposed to receive Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) funding for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY 24).
Senate Bill 1 (SB 1), the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (Chapter 5, Statutes of 2017), was passed by the California Legislature and signed into law by the Governor in April 2017, to address significant multi-modal transportation funding shortfalls statewide. The City of Long Beach (City) will receive an estimated $11,500,000 in RMRA funding for FY 24. This RMRA funding will be part of the proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) work in FY 24 designated to maintain and upkeep the City's roadway assets through a series of street improvement projects, which also include: Capital Projects Fund, Measure A, Los Angeles County (County) Measures M and R, and County Propositions A and C.

· Harco Street (Palo Verde Avenue to Los Coyotes Diagonal)
· Parkcrest Street (Palo Verde Avenue to Los Coyotes Diagonal West Service Road)
· 32nd Street (Cherry to St Louis Avenues)
· St. Louis Avenue (South End to E 32nd Street)
· Andrews Drive (California to Cerritos Avenues)
· East 36th Street (Long Beach Boulevard to Walnut Avenue)
· Gaviota Avenue (10th Street to Anaheim Street)
· 45th Way (California to Orange Avenues)
· Zane Street (De Forest to Daisy Avenues)
· East Plymouth Street (Long Beach Boulevard to Cedar Avenue)
· 69th Street (Long Beach Boulevard to Butler Avenue)
