TITLE

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $2,500 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

Rancho Los Alamitos Foundation is hosting the annual Cottonwood Awards Luncheon on May 25, 2023. This event helps promote and support the Rancho’s educational program and Long Beach cultural preservation. A contribution to Rancho Los Alamitos will help offset costs for this awards luncheon which is being hosted in Council District 4.

This item has been reviewed by Budget Analyst Joe R. Guerrero on May 15, 2023.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to Rancho Los Alamitos Foundation in support of the Cottonwood Awards Luncheon. The total appropriation increase of $2,500 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease in appropriation of the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund in the Citywide Activities Department. This recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff time beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

DARYL SUPERNAW COUNCILMEMBER,
