DISCUSSION
Pueblita and Urban Reset Foundation are partnering to collect and distribute toys for children of all ages and involves an Amazon wishlist as well as toy donation drop boxes at participating small businesses throughout Long Beach.

Long Beach Residents Empowered held their year-end 2022 Community Night on November 17 to celebrate this year’s advocacy and empowerment of tenants throughout Long Beach. The organization is also growing their staff and introduced new advocacy team members to the community at this fundraising event.

This matter was reviewed by Budget Analyst Joe R. Guerrero on November 28, 2022.

Staff will consider issues of equity and access with any program proposals brought forward to ensure the City’s commitment for everyone reaching their highest level of health and potential for a successful life, regardless of background, neighborhood, or identity.

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager Department to provide a contribution of $565 to Urban Reset Foundation and a contribution of $250 to Long Beach Residents Empowered to support their events and programs as written above. The total appropriation increase of $815 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of Second Council District One...
