TITLE
Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $1,000, offset by the Fifth Council District One-Time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide donations to the following:
1) Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association, in the amount of
$400, in support of neighborhood cleanup efforts.
2) California Heights Neighborhood Association, in the amount
of $200, in support of neighborhood cleanup efforts.
3) Care Closet LBC, in the amount of $200, in support of
cleanup efforts in the Fifth District.
4) Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association, in the
amount of $200, in support of neighborhood cleanup efforts.
Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $1,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
DISCUSSION
Councilwoman Stacy Mungo Flanigan would like to support the following annual events and community programming:
• Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association: Contribution to ongoing neighborhood cleanup efforts in the amount of $200 for the Los Cerritos/Bixby Knolls Community Clean Team, and $200 for the Bixby Highlands Community Clean Team, to purchase materials for future neighborhood cleanups and publicity.
• California Heights Neighborhood Association: Contribution to ongoing neighborhood cleanup efforts and publicity.
• Care Closest LBC: Contribution to materials needed for the ongoing cleanup efforts in the Fifth District.
• Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association: Contribution to materials needed for the ongoing cleanup efforts in the Fifth District

FISCAL IMPACT
This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide contributions of $400 to Los Cerritos Neighborhood Association, $200 to California Heights Neighborhood Association, $200 to Care Closet LBC, and $200 to Bixby Knolls Business Improvement Association, to support ongoing cleanup efforts as written above. The total appropriation increase of $1,000 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of Fifth Council District One-Time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. This recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities. There is no local job impact associated with this item.
