TITLE

Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $450, offset by the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds transferred from the Citywide Activities Department to provide a contribution to the Belmont Shore Business Association for the annual Christmas Parade; and

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $450 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

The annual Belmont Shore Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2022. A contribution towards the event will support the planned programming for the community at-large.

Given the limited amount of Council meetings in November and due to the urgency and time sensitivity of this item, no Financial Management review was able to be conducted.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to the Belmont Shore Business Association for the annual Christmas Parade. The total appropriation increase of $450 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease in appropriation of the Fourth Council District One-time District Priority Funds in the General Fund in the Citywide Activities Department. This recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff time beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and is expected to have minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

DARYL SUPERNAW COUNCILMAN,

FOURTH DISTRICT
