DISCUSSION

Since 1995, the Historical Society of Long Beach (HSLB) has conducted annual living history tours at the City’s two oldest cemeteries. On Saturday, October 29th, HSLB will be hosting their 26th annual Historical Cemetery Tour, which will feature presentations from professional and volunteer actors portraying the lives of those lying in rest. Each year, several stories are highlighted, including those of individuals integral to the City’s history and others with their own important stories to tell. This event attracts nearly 1,500 people yearly and engages residents, the City, and other local leaders. I am requesting the Council’s approval to lend my support toward this important event.
