TITLE
Recommendation to receive and file a presentation from Project Dignity.
DISCUSSION
Started in February 2022, Project Dignity is a collaboration of neighbors, nonprofits, and community based organizations that works together to bring resources to the unhoused residents of central Long Beach. Community partners and various community groups bring donations and supplies each week.
The purpose of this presentation is to highlight support services by the Project Dignity collaborative.
STATEMENT OF URGENCY
This urgent item is being submitted through supplemental agenda to allow for timely funds processing.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal or local job impact associated with this recommendation. This recommendation anticipated to require a minimal level staff hour beyond the budgeted scope of duties and a minimal impact on existing City Council priorities.
