TITLE

Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $1,000 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.

DISCUSSION

Both the Rancho Los Cerritos and Rancho Los Alamitos are incredible parts of our Long Beach history. The role they play in preserving our past and educating residents, students, and visitors is important to maintain. With the goal of highlighting this amazing city asset, the City of Long Beach should support the Rancho Los Cerritos Foundation’s 2022 Gala.

This item has been reviewed by Budget Recovery Officer Dee Okam on September 25, 2022.

FISCAL IMPACT

This recommendation requests the City Manager to provide a contribution to Rancho Los Cerritos Foundation for their 2022 Gala. The total appropriation increase of $1,000 in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department will be offset by a decrease of appropriation of Third Council District One-Time District Priority Funds in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department. This recommendation is anticipated to require a minimal level of staff hours beyond normal budgeted scope of duties and have a minimal impact on City Council priorities.  There is no local job impact associated with this item.

SUGGESTED ACTION

Approve recommendation.

Respectfully Submitted,

SUZIE PRICE COUNCILWOMAN,
